Pooch Perfect is owned and operated by
Mark McCormack

Mark has a Masters degree in Animal Behaviour, is an experienced dog walker and trainer and is a Mississauga Humane Society volunteer.

During his academic training, Mark specialized in animal communication and decision-making; spending thousands of hours observing information exchanges between animals in the wild. His work revealed that chipmunks share information about food resources. Mark has trained several species including crayfish, African Cichlids, Eastern chipmunks, squirrels, finches and even cats! He has also been recognized by McGill University's Redpath Museum for his outstanding work educating the public about animal behaviour at Mont Saint-Hilaire UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Mark began working with dogs in Canada's north in 2007 where he spent hundreds of hours observing feral dog packs on the streets of Iqaluit, Nunavut. Mark rescued and rehabilitated feral huskies and helped his friends and neighbours with all kinds of doggie issues. More recently, he has trained at Sue McMullen's Canine Academy in Guelph as a professional dog trainer has rehabilitated aggressive and feral dogs for the Mississauga Humane Society (100% adoption so far!) and has trained over twenty Certified Service Dogs for families affected by Autism and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Mark is one of only two trainers in the GTA who have completed graduate training in animal behaviour. He uses his skills, knowledge, experience, observations and your input to identify what will work for you and your dog.

Mark has experience with all ages and breeds of dog, has successfully treated practically every known behaviour problem and looks forward to working with you and yours.
